COVO provides one-to-one support in our training space for children and young people with emotional and behavioural problems who are struggling to engage with school, their family and/or their peer group.
OUR SERVICES
COVO’s in-house services for young people are tailored specifically for:
- Young people at risk of exclusion from school or no longer attending school; who are disruptive in class and struggle to follow school rules.
- Young people struggling with confidence and/or race and identity issues.
- Young people who are withdrawn and non-communicative or aggressive at home and difficult to manage.
- Parents/carers who need help and support to rebuild their relationship with their child and provide them with the support they need to get their lives back on track.
One-to-one sessions with the young person are followed up with sessions with the parents/carers.
COVO staff are experienced mentors, coaches and movement psychotherapists. We approach our work with young people and families holistically, using a creative approach that includes play, music and art. We provide a warm, friendly and safe environment.
COVO’s work is client-centred, solution-focused and success-oriented.
Weekly sessions with young people and parents for a 6-week period, to be reviewed at the end of each cycle.
The service is available Tuesday to Friday during term time.
